Serge October 11, 2016 for Model Number 11021182012 I My Kenmore 11021182012 is going off balance and I have identified by opening the top of the machine that I do not have any centering spring. I am suspecting that there where never installed... because the mechanical diagram is showing that there should be installed. The diagram is not clear about how many I need. Do I need these centering spring? How many do I need (at 4 corners)? TKS
1 Answer Hello Serge. There is only 1 on the back left corner. However, for the balance issue, it is not the spring. It is the rods W10780048. You will need to replace all 4. Read More...
Curtis September 11, 2015 for Model Number NTW4600YQ0 This is a vertical modular washer. This model did not come with stabilizing tube springs for suspension part number W10400895. That part is shown on the diagram. But not listed in the compatible or needed section. As I understand the history of the VMW. Whirlpool has added the springs to help stabilize the tub. They are sold in packs of two.. but is Whirpool installing a spring on each rod (4)or just on two. I have the parts.. but have not seen a new unit with them installed and site information or diagram does not list number of total centering springs required.
1 Answer Curtis, Your unit is not showing the spring as a part that is needed. If the unit is getting off balance you can try to put the centering springs on the unit even thorugh they are not necessary. Read More...
