Jessica B Riverview , MI November 13, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW4800XQ2 Whirlpool washer model number wtw4800xq2 went off balance banging and bouncing around all of the time After looking up the model number of my washing machine on AppliancePartsPros.com I ordered the suspension rod kit, two sets of tub centering springs (one spring per corner), a Ring-Tub (mine was breaking apart due to banging around) and a spare suspension bearing kit in case I need it later. I spoke to a very helpful customer service rep on the phone just before placing my order. They have customer service representatives answering the phone late at night. I was surprised. All of my parts were shipped out super fast as advertised. There was a problem with FedEx not delivering some of them, yet tracking showing the delivery as complete. That was entirely the fault of FedEx. When I contacted AppliancePartsPros.com about it they were very kind and quickly and completely resolved the issue. I received my parts yesterday and completely fixed my washing machine today. The videos on this website were very helpful. I also looked at a few on YouTube. I felt ready to tackle the job even though I had never fixed a washing machine before. I am not new to fixing things though. In this house, Mama fixes things and the kid's help. We took about an hour and a half to unplug, turn off the water to it, detach the hoses, replace all of those parts, reattach the hoses, plug it back in, turn the water to it back on, then level the washer in my cramped laundry space. I also cleaned inside the washer while it was opened up. While fixing it we discovered that the machine had been completely missing tub centering springs. That, combined with worn-out springs on the original suspension rods and broken suspension bearings was causing all of the problems with the balance of the washer tub. I am very happy I found this company and took a chance of placing the order. My washer is running so quietly and staying put now. AppliancePartsPros.com deserves a good reputation. I also took the time to leave a good review with my local BBB because I am so impressed with their excellent customer service. Mike S Aberdeen , NJ October 03, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW4800XQ2 My whirlpool washing machine (model # wtw4800xq2) was banging and shaking during the rinse cycle similar to a severe unbalanced load My Whirlpool washing machine (model # WTW4800XQ2) was banging and shaking during the rinse cycle similar to a severe unbalanced load. It started happening after about 2 years and got worse with each use. The washer shook so hard that the plastic tub rim broke into pieces. After reading several other reviewers’ experiences with similar symptoms, I decided to replace the 4 suspension rods/spring assemblies. When I removed the old rods/springs they appeared to be OK, but the spring compression strength seemed to be a bit weaker. There are several videos on-line how to replace them. It's not that difficult. Basic steps are: Disconnect water supply hose and pump hose. Tip washer on it's front side and remove the 2 opposite corner rods from the bottom, replace with new rods. Then tip washer up, release the washer top, and connect rod hooks through mounting caps. One helpful tip i found was to use one of the old rods to pull the new rod through the cap hole. Repeat this for the 2 remaining rods. The washer is quite and runs like it did when it was new!
