Susan August 03, 2024 for Model Number WDF580AFM2 Why do you have to unscrew and slide the dishwasher out of the cabinet to replace the gasket? It looks like you could insert new gasket without doing that.
1 Answer Susan, the gasket can be replaced without having to slide the dishwasher out. However, the repair video for the gasket and strike kit W10542314 is showing the dishwasher being pulled out as this is necessary to replace the strike. Read More...
Carol March 16, 2023 for Model Number GU2300XTVQ1 door gasket part W10542314 has been installed twice and keeps falling off. When I open the door part the part is partly dislodged. It almost looks like it is catching on something. What could be wrong?
1 Answer Carol, Make sure that there is no residue or stickiness around the door where the gasket will meet the door. It is possible also that the gasket, when installed, was stretched out and is not pushing in properly. Try taking the gasket out and push it in on either side starting from the center. Do not run your finger across it to push it in like in a line, push it in a little at a time. Read More...

Steven March 03, 2021 for Model Number 665.13744K601 Dishwasher is next to my stove, saw water seeping from under stove. Thought it would be the supply line, having recently had surgery, doing it myself was out. Plumber came in and said it was the door seal. Can the door seal leak when dishwasher hasn't run in 2-3 weeks, or should I be looking for something else.
1 Answer Steven, Based on the information provided it is not likely to be a door gasket leak if the machine has not been running. If it is from the dishwasher that you have not been using then it would likely be a water valve. The water valve is where the line pressure stops when the machine is not in use. Read More...

Mike September 05, 2019 for Model Number GU2400XTPS3 Occasionally I am getting a small drip at the lower left front corner of the dishwasher. It looks like it is coming from the bottom edge of the tub. I have seen there are a few things that could cause this. What would be the best to try to stop this. It is not a steady drip, almost like a seepage.
1 Answer Hello Mike, start by checking the dishwasher is level ,that the door gasket on that side is ok and the door inner liner presses and seals to it along its length, then check the lower inside lip of the tub that it is not deformed, next, check lower spray arm and its mounting for wear/cracks/splits, then the water tube that runs up inside of tub at the lower connection to the top of the sump assembly ,it should be locked in place , lastly check the alignment of the upper rack mounted spray arm. Sue August 28, 2019 for Model Number GU2548XTPS3 We installed a new door gasket and can not close the door now. The issue seems to be at the bottom ends of the gasket where it rests down on the bottom. Should we flatten and push so it fits under the door or is it meant to be cut so it just goes straight down? Each end continues over an inch beyond the channel and looks like it is causing door not to close . Not sure what to do to remedy.
1 Answer Sue, On our website under your part number, we have a video to show you how the gasket is installed.W10542314. Replace the strike also and no it shouldn't hang over that long. Start at one end and without stretching the gasket insert all the way and you can trim access off. Read More...

Katywoodworker September 17, 2018 for Model Number WDF530PAYBO I have a Whirlpool dishwasher, model WDF530PAYBO and I thought the water was leaking around the seal of the door. After replacing the door seal, it continued to leak. I closed the door and felt under the door and i could feel the insulation inside the door that was soaked. What could be causing that to happen? Is there a DIY repair? Thanks in Advance
1 Answer Katywoodworker, If you remove the outer cover you can see more where the possible area of leakage is. It could be the vent, dispenser, or leaking from the bottom. Make sure spray arms turn as unit washes and the machine is level. Also, make sure there's no buildup of grease at the bottom of your inner door. Read More...
