1 Answer Hello Daniel, start by inspecting the lower freezer door hinge wire harness for any breaks, as a broken wire there can cause the ice flap motor to not fully close or stay closed. If the wires are ok then you should replace all the parts you listed as any one of them can cause the problem you describe. Read More...

Paul December 09, 2015 for Model Number KSRS25CSWH00 I replaced the motor to the ice dispenser that was broken. It starts to works and produces ice, however after a dozen successful uses, while the motor still rotates, the flap does not open. Any advice? All other parts appear to be working.
1 Answer Hello Paul. You will need to check the flap motor WPW10184813 and see if it is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Karen December 09, 2014 for Model Number 106.58703803 What is the part number for the ice level optic control boards, the emitter and receiver? Thanks
Karen December 09, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore Elite Spacesaver 106.587038803 The flapper on my ice dispencer chute does not have a tight seal and has a gap, causing the warm air to go up and melt the ice in the space saver bucket. I took the door panel off to find the mechanism is electrically driven not spring loaded so I'm not sure what needs replacing. The moulded piece with the motor is 2305202, the piece holding the door flap is 2305204 01060. The chute door is 2305205 01060 The pieces seem to look good so would it be the little motor causing the issue? Karen ANSWER Hello Karen. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx

Steve November 19, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore Elite Coldspot 106.56706500 My ice maker motor (turns ice for crushing and dispensing) keeps breaking. I have replaced it 3 times. My thought is that the "shoot door" is not closing properly which causes the ice to thaw and freeze into a solid. I have my ice maker apart and am reviewing the "shoot door" 235204 01060. It looks to be in tact but I can't see how it is attached to the "lever" that attaches to the "hatch" motor.
1 Answer Steve, The door on the dispenser would not have anything to do with the motor unless air is getting into the chute and causing the ice to melt and solidify in the bin and causing the motor to bind. You will want to check for air leaks around the dispenser door. Read More...
Carol February 01, 2012 for Model Number GS6NBEXRS01 The ice maker chute door doesn't close all the way and the ice gets melty. The ice door motor works and it moves the door connector bracket but the ice door support doesnt seem to fit right and It doesnt seem broken. It seems that part # (2305242) and part (2325204) are not connecting to each other right. Is it the motor or ice door support bracket?
