Robert July 30, 2012 for Model Number ED2VHEXVQ01 My dispenser is not dispensing water or ice, however it does make ice. When pressing the paddles, there are no sounds. What part do I need or what do I need to test to get this fixed?
1 Answer Robert, The first check to make, is at the dispenser, make sure thwe dispenser lock has not been selected, and then at the freezer door light switch,it has to operate properly, it supplys power to the dispenser. The next check is at the freezer door hinge, make sure the dispenser wire harness is not loose or backed out of the connection. Then dismantle the dispenser and check the switches and wiring there. We'll send you some information to help you out. Thanks Read More...
Stuball April 05, 2011 for Model Number KSRS27QGWH01 Delay in dispensing water. From time paddle is depressed to time water begins flowing has been increasing dramatically. Just stopped working altogether yesterday. I could hear the hum of the solenoid firing up just before dispensing. Of course, no longer. Definitely seems to be electronic part problem as water is dispensing for ice-maker, etc. Is this the correct part (AP3086666), that is, is the timer or solenoid or whatever on this part? Or what else could be causing the problem (10 year old fridge)
1 Answer Hello Stuball. Try removing the water line from the bottom of the freezer door and see if you get water there. If so, the water line inside the door may be frozen. If there is no water there, check the water tank inside the refrigerator and see if it is frozen. You can remove the water line from the wter valve WP2188542 and see if your getting water there. Hope this helps. Read More...
