I noticed each side may look different... Are these switches, left and right specific? And can the door latch be tested? I think that is the problem.. DW lights up when latch is closed manually.

The more likely issue is the key pad/control panel 6-919398, you have a failed start/cancel button circuit. 1 Answer Matt, The switches, are locked in place by a plastic clip on the latch assembly. There are also pins on the door that the openings on the switch slip over to proper align the switch. Remember, the wire terninals face down towards the bottom of the door and the switch plunger face the inner door panel.
