Hello Richard. Yes, it could be. You will need to test and see if there is power to the switches. If so, test and see if there is power at the control board. If not, replace the switch WP99002751. If there is power to the control board, replace the control board WPW10218837. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Jimmy for Model Number mdbh965aww

The answer to a question by Jim about some lights coming on but cycle not starting and lights go off after several seconds is my problem but I was wondering if there is a way I can verify that I do not need a board control. Your answer to him was he may need control panel. Also in my vent there is a small plastic part that has a pencil lead sized rod that may be broken off up inside the female side. Do you know where I can find detail schematic for that kind of part with that much detail? I am not a pro obviously but I am familiar with ohm meters I used to install alarm/ intercoms/ low voltage stuff. I hope I can figure this out for myself with your help. Thanks very much.

Hello Lukeduke. These can be tight, but they pull off of the micro-switches. Hope this helps.

Hello Terry. First check and make sure the door latch WPW10130695 is good and is latching properly. If it is bad, there will be no power at the board. You will need to test and see if your getting power to the control board. If there is power there, you will need to remove the ribbon cable for the control panel and make sure it is clean and dry. If it is good, you may have a bad control board. We will need your serial number to find the correct control board for your model. Hope this helps.

Hello Jim! it seems that you may have a defective control panel 6-920244. The control panel has a ribbon cable that connects and sends signals, when pressed, to the control board. The ribbon cable is only available with the control panel. Hope this helps!
