Jim September 04, 2019 for Model Number RF365PXXN 2 whirlpool range The Burner switch (#17) on my RF365PXXN 2 whirlpool is loose, and askew. The switch itself seems to work Screws to attach to the control pane are missing. What a is names/size screw( looks like small wood or sheet metal screw? It is likely that the hole that the screw screws into on the burner control is enlarged? Stripped?
1 Answer Hello Jim, the screws are a machine thread type, measuring: thread size 8-32 and length 1/4", if the threaded opening in the infinite switch is enlarged and /or stripped you may want to just replace the switches as adding a larger or different size screw may contact live electrical parts in the switch body. Greg November 10, 2018 for Model Number RF111PXSQ1 The surface element light does not turn off, even though the elements are off. Elements work but light stays on permanently
1 Answer Hello Greg, you'll want to disconnect the unit from power as well as isolate the switch while you test on L1 to P. The switch that is showing continuity will be the defective one. You can also do a live voltage test on P to ground, the one that shows 120v is defective. Hope this helps! Read More...

Laurel June 21, 2017 for Model Number amana AER5830VAS 0 I need to replace the infinite switches for this unit. The switches we removed are part #'s 3148954 (amp range 10.0-11.5A) & 3148951 (amp range 4.4-5.8A). My concern is that the replacement switches you show have amp ratings of 8.9-11.0A & 5.2-6.6A. Will this not - won't this cause an issue with this stove?
1 Answer Hello Laurel, The parts we show are the ones recommended by the manufacturer. We do not recommend any parts other than the ones the manufacturer says is for the model in question. Read More...

Sal April 06, 2017 I noticed on the infinite switches, some of them have longer rods sticking out. My stove uses the shorter ones on the infinite switches; otherwise the knob sticks out too far. How can I ensure I get the shorter one? it's for the larger burner on a Whirlpool electrical range. I had bought one a few years back, on ebay, but it was too long, and the knob sticks out further than the rest... . I ordered a 3149400, which said it was the same as 3148953 & 3148954...
1 Answer Sal, A model number would've been more helpful, but. Both switches WP3149400 / 3149400 and WP3148953 / 3148953 are for 8" burners, the difference is the WP3148953 has a 3/4 - 5/8 in. long shaft and the WP3149400 has a 7/8 - 1" long shaft. Measure the shaft length of the original switch to determine which switch you need. Thanks, Read More...
