This membrane switch is the thin keypad mounted behind the control console that sends your button presses to the electronic control. Replacing a worn membrane restores reliable input when keys stop responding or register intermittently. What it does:

  • Detects button presses and relays them to the control board
  • Common fix for unresponsive or intermittent keys
  • Can address "stuck key" beeping or key-related error indications
  • Restores ability to select settings and start/stop functions
What's included:
  • 1 membrane switch
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing; on microwaves, high voltage can remain—use proper discharge procedures.
  • Remove the control panel/console to access the keypad.
  • Handle the ribbon cable carefully; fully seat the connector.
  • Clean the mounting surface and align the new membrane before pressing into place.

John, Unfortunately, we do not have a video for the touchpad but you would remove the screws from the panel under the control panel. Once it is removed then there will also be 2 screws one on either side that will need to be removed and then you should be able to pull the control panel.

The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks,

What might cause my refrigerator to leak at the bottom from inside the walls of the refrigerator? First found water leaking across the floor from right side when I entered kitchen this morning. - soon also started leaking a bit from right bottom. I dumped the ice in case the ice maker was somehow clogged, and that seems to have helped, but I'm not sure Things in freezer don't seem to be melting at all - took out bottom rack and reconfigured items there.

Hello Ragtime, This is most likely a ruptured water tank W11229977. This is usually caused by the fresh food setting being set too warm. Since this reduces air circulation, it causes the colder air to settle to the bottom, freezing the water tank and causing it to rupture.

Hi EM. Remove power. Remove door. Remove front console trim screws right above the door. Remove the knobs and scr5ews that hold the infinite switches in place. Remove lt. and rt. end cap screws that hold the console on top. Then lift up and out the keypad console. It has a ribbon cable that connects to a clock/control board, un hook it. Now that you have the complete console in hand, un peel the keypad. Reinstall the new one onto the console assy. Then reconnect the ribbon cable onto the control board. Make sure your ribbon cable does not kink while installing. The switch membrane is part # WPW10207933. Thank You.
