Dan September 01, 2015 for Model Number KEMS378GSS0 What would cause a microwave to act like it's on, but not heat up food UNLESS you press/hit on the right side of the door? Sometimes it heats up fine, sometimes not. In either case, a thump to the right side of the door (bottom hinged) can cause an audible change to the electrical humm of the operating microwave, indicating it's changed (either started heating when not, or stopped when working) Because of the response to pressure, or a good thump, I was thinking it's likely a mechanical issue, like one of these door switches. But, if the switch was bad, wouldn't the micro just think the door was open and not start at all?? So what else might it be then?

Asa April 20, 2015 for Model Number KEMC308KSS03 Hi, when I attempt to start the microwave it fails and displays "door" on the control display. All other functions seem to work ok. Using guidance from the tech board here, I checked all three door switches, and all checked out ok; good continuity b/w com and nc when switch is not pressed in (door open) and good cont. B/w com and no when switch is pressed (door closed) in via the door. The door latch mechanism works fine, and is not sticking. I used the latch to press and depress the door switches. I inspected the wires and connectors at the controller board and cannot find anything that is obviously loose or pushed back that it would not make connection to the board. Can you give me some advice on what to do next? New controller board? Fyi: some background, I did just replace the light bulb and the diode just weeks prior to this issue cropping up. Rh February 19, 2015 for Model Number KHHC2090SSS0 Hello -- My KitchenAid KHHC2090SSS microwave wouldn't show any signs of life so I replaced the fuse. After replacing the fuse, the control screen and interior light turned on as normal. However, as soon as I closed the door for the first time the unit lost all power again. Any ideas? -- Thanks

Linda L December 28, 2014 for Model Number WMH1164XVS2 WMH1164XVS2 Whirlpool Stainless Microwave Door latches do not catch on wall of oven. Looks like the bottom female fell into the cabinet base. Also the top female wasn't latching propertly the door would close but the light would stay on and the control panel would say close door to run Gave it a slam..yea! and the female part fell through the cabinet on the bottom latch. probably need to order 8, 9, 10 , 11 , 12 now on the interior schematics page.
