For Whirlpool Washer Water Inlet Valve (Part Number: OEM18051531)

Miguel for Model Number MHWE200XW00

Do you have a diagram to show cold water hose connections from the valve, when installed, to the dispenser? I read the prior answer but my wife thinks originally the hoses looked cris-crossed meaning: 1) The upper valve hose connects to the far left dispenser feeding the soap. 2) The lower valve hose connects to the middle dispenser feeding the softener. The valves are not labeled to show if feeds to soap or softener dispenser. Right now, I believe this is correct configuration as when I turn on a wash cycle, the soap tray fills up First with water. Thank you.

Miguel, Unfortunately we do not have a diagram showing how the hoses go but it does sound like you have the correct configuration.

Hello Michele. Sorry, we do not have the size of the screw for the valve. This may vary by the model number of the unit.

Frank, At the first rinse you will want to check to make sure that the unit is sending power to the water valve and make sure that water is coming through. It is possible that the nozzle is clogged and not allowing water to enter.

Pat for Model Number MHWE250XL00

On the Maytag drawing of the dispenser parts (parts W10315510 page 5), they show that the left valve of the dual valve goes tot the middle inlet of the dispenser and the right valve on the dual valve goes to the right inlet of the dispenser. When i do that, i note that the water goes in the right side (softener compartment) when its time to wash and vice versa, so the water goes on the left side in the detergent part when its time to rinse! My question is : Can you tell me if the maytag drawing is ok or not! If its right, the problem should be the valve? Just for information, i took off the valve to take a look at it because some morning last week water flowed through the door and water level was very high. So The code error F8E3 was flashing on the washer display! Thank you! Hope that my english is clear because i'm french

Pat, The way that the hoses are set up are as follows. The single valve will go to the far right of the dispenser is you are looking at it from the back. The dual valve right side will go to the middle and the other will go to the far left.

Hello My, The tech sheet directs to do the following in this order: 1. Verify the washer is level. 2. Verify dispenser drawer is not clogged with detergent. 3. Check water hose connections to the washer and within the washer. Check for plugged screen in water source. 4. Check the water supply and the water valve. 5. Verify washer operation by running a Service History Mode & Diagnostic Test. This is all explained on the units' tech sheet. This is usually located in a plastic bag behind the kick panel. The fault codes are also explained fully on the tech sheet.

Hello Dennis. Yes, if the unit is filling slow and is throwing an LF code, it could be the valve. Make sure the screens are not clogged on the unit. If not, and it fills slow, replace the water valve on the unit.
