Joseph, the wires going to the defrost timer for your model are, orange, white, pink, and red. Based on these colored wires, the black lead goes over the #1 terminal.

Oli, We wouldn't expect the problem to be the relay, but you should check the defrost heater WP2315530 Heater, Defrost for 30 to 40 ohms resistance across the wire terminals. On the defrost timer, the loose, black timer motor lead will slide over and down the No.1 terminal on the new timer then the orange wire will attach to the same No.1 terminal. The pink wire will attach to terminal No.2. The white wire will attach to terminal No.3 and the red wire will attach to terminal No.4. The replacement timer will provide defrost every 8 hours of compressor run time after the bimetal closes. Thanks,

Chuck Pag, based on your model number, you should have Black, Pink, Red, and Orange wires going to the defrost timer. Based on that combination, you should put the black lead on the #2 terminal. You have what is called a cumulative run timer. This means the refrigerator will go into defrost every eight hours of compressor run time.

Hello Frank, look at the wires going to the defrost timer, if you have Black, Pink, Red, and Orange, attach the black lead to the #2 terminal. If you have Orange, Pink, White, and Red, attach it to the #1 terminal. Hope this helps!
