Stu March 09, 2012 for Model Number RAS8333PQ0 My washer runs through the cycles but when it gets to the spin cycle it isn't emptying the water all the way out leaving the clothes soaked. The timer does go thru the entire cycle to the end but it's leaving the clothes soaked. Your thoughts? Roper Heavy Duty Super Capacity 8cycle 3 speed combinations Model RAS8333PQ0
1 Answer Hello Stu. First I must address a touchy issue. Soap usage. A characteristic of material which has soap still in it is that the material will feel soggy. Detergent quality plays a big part in this. The cheaper the detergent, the more suds are in it as opposed to the chemical composite which actually causes the separation of the soil particles from the fabric. So you should use a quality detergent and use about half of what the directions say to use. You see, the detergent of today is much more concentrated than it used to be. Also, according to the engineers, most clothes that are washed today are lightly soiled so it doesn't take as much detergent as you think. Where it comes to soaping the washer, less is better. The machine has to rinse out all the soap you put in so this will actually result in a better wash result. Now that's out of the way, I would check to see that the machine is draining the water at the drain hose. (pull it up out of the standpipe while it's draining to see). If the water isn't coming out good you should check that no foreign objects are in the pump WP3363394. If this is ok, check the inner tub to insure that it isn't loose in the outer tub, (The outer tub is on a suspension system so this is not where the slack is that I'm referring to). If the inner tub seems loose inside the outer tub, you might be able to tighten the spanner nut TB123B as a correction to the problem. This is located under the agitator. If it stripped the lugs on top of the drive block WP389140 it may have to be replaced.Either way the nut has to be removed or tightened with a spanner wrench TB123B. Let us know if you need further instructions and we will be happy to help! Good luck and have a great day! Read More...

Jack December 27, 2011 for Model Number EED4400SQO Dryer does not heat. There is no breaks in the heating element. Can you tell me which sensor to replace?
1 Answer Hello Jack. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats 279816 and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
