Hello Cmetzler. After checking the wiring diagram, it's my opinion that as long as the terminal connections for the pigtail are tight and undamaged, and the receptacle is making proper continuity, the timer WP3979618 is in need of replacement. Hello Bill. Check for a loose connection at the timer WP3979618. If there is none there, and you can tap the timer and it runs, replace the timer. If you can let the unit sit for a while and it will run, but shuts off after a few seconds, replace the motor. Hope this helps.

Christine, The timer would not be the first palce to start. First, check and make sure the wires at the terminal block, on the back of the dryer are not loose(unplug the power cord first). Check the push to start switch and relay, and the wires at the switch. Then check the timer circuit T(tan) to W(white) for closed in any cycle, and the wires for loose or damage. Good Luck and Thanks
