Doug M. August 19, 2012 for Model Number SAV2655AWW Once the washer gets filled with water, it won't go into the spin cycle. We then manually change it to a different cycle and it will spin and complete the wash. The problem started with only the delicate cycle for months. Then it happened in the hand wash cycle. Now it is happening with every cycle. Is it the timer? Please let me know! Thanks! Doug
1 Answer Doug, Based on your post description, You most likely have an issue in the timer WP27001156, a cam or one of the two "spin" contacts inside the timer has failed, When you manually advance the timer, you're forcing the contacts to operate, or you're "forcing" the cam past the bad spot. Joe January 25, 2012 for Model Number SAV2555AWW HI, MY WASHER IS WORKING WELL EXCEPT IT STOPS AT THE SPIN CYCLES AFTER THE RINSE ON THE GOES TO OFF. IF I MOVE IT BACK TO THE SPIN CYCLE IT SPINS PROPERLY.IT SEES TO BE DOING THIS ON ALL OF THE WASH CYCLES. IF I MOVE IT TO SPIN IN EACH CYCLE IT WORKS FINE. I BELIEVE IT IS THE TIMER BUT WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR OPION, BEFORE I PURCHASE THE TIMER. THANK YOU, JOE
1 Answer Joe, Check the lid hinges and lid switch assembly, if something is loose, that could be an issue. If the motor runs in the spin cycle, but the tub does not spin, the first thing to check is the brake pads and drive pulley cam WP40047402 washers 40065701 40063201 and belt WP27001007 and idler assembly for proper tension. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Sue June 06, 2011 for Model Number sav205daww Thank you for your previous answer. I found the diagram with the pump assembly, but I didn't see on which showed to what it is attached. Which parts diagram shows me that? Do I need special tools? Thank you so much!!
1 Answer Hello Sue. The pump is held onto the motor with torx screws. Here is a link to see where the pump is located. Hope this helps. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5174327&diagram_id=28599641 Read More...
Sue June 05, 2011 for Model Number sav205daww My washer leaks when it starts the spin cycle. The larger the load the more it leaks. I have checked both ends of the water input hoses and all is dry. I have checked both ends of the water out hose, again all is dry. It is level in both directions, front to back & side to side. Is there anything else I can check? What do you think I might need to replace?
1 Answer Hello Sue. You will need to remove the toe panel of the washer and the front panel. Then run the washer and look for leaks. Check and see if the pump 27001233 is leaking. If so, you will need to replace the pump assembly. Hope this helps. Read More...
