JRM, When the unit stops if you are immediately clicking the timer a couple of clicks and it restarts then the timer would be the issue. If not then you will want to pull the inner tub and check for something being caught between the tubs causing drag and causing motor to overheat.

Moe, You have the correct part number WP3946430. Things have changed. The original timer [3351811] probably had threaded stand offs. The new timer wouldn't have these, and the timer body has pre drilled holes in the housing in the same location as the stand offs. you'll find it a bit easier to partially install the mounting screws into the timer holes, before you install the timer.
