This is a dual radiant surface element for compatible glass-ceramic ranges and cooktops. It restores responsive, even heating and lets you choose a smaller inner ring or the full element to match your pan size. What it does:

  • Converts electrical energy into radiant heat for the cooking zone
  • Dual circuits provide selectable inner-only or full-size heating
  • Helps resolve a burner that won't heat or heats only on one ring
  • Addresses uneven or intermittent heat and visible hot spots or breaks in the element

Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker and allow the cooktop to cool before servicing
  • Access the element per your model's service procedure; note wire locations before removal
  • Handle the element carefully and transfer any mounting brackets/insulators from the original
  • After installation, test both inner and outer heat settings for proper operation

Hello PS. No, if there is power to the board, and it does not work, you will need to replace the board on the unit.

Hello Dan, The broken and fused coil would cause the unit to not dry properly and would cause the AF error code. The unit is sensing temperature based on the setting. If the coil is fused togther and not heating properly this will reduce the heat relation to the board which will feel like the duct is blocked because it is taking longer than normal to dry.

Hello John. The thermostat should read closed for continuity. Did you test for voltage with the wires unhooked from the heater? If so, replace the heater.
