Glenn H March 19, 2013 for Model Number PAV230AWW Washer makes a loudish clicking noise when it goes into agitation mode. When running the noise has been getting louder. I have taken out the agitator and it is silent when the machine is in spin or water is pumping in. I am hoping it is in the upper agitator. I have taken the upper part out and tried to run it without the upper section on the lower agitator and the noise is not there. Any suggestions?
Nikki March 01, 2013 for Model Number Pav2300aww I am not confident about part names, but the thing in the middle of the drum that moves the contents is not staying connected. White screw type things have come loose with each wash lately. The agitating thing pops up during wash cycles now. Do I need to replace the whole middle thing? Thank you for your help and I am sorry I am so ignorant.
1 Answer Nikki, you'll want to remove the dispenser assembly on the top of the agitator WP21001905 it make be stubborn, but it is designed to be removable you may have to twist and rock it side to side to get it off. Once the top is off, look inside the agitator and see if the agitator bolt WPW10309247 is loose or has "backed out" of the agitator shaft. Tighten or re install the bolt as necessary(temporary) and order a new bolt and any other damaged parts. Read More...

Buddy January 01, 2013 for Model Number Maytag washer pav2300aww SN14136393AL This unit squeals when it stops. Without the agitator being in it does not squeal. The agitator appears to have a bearing in it that feels like it's missing a ball, but I cannot figure out how to get it out or if it comes out (pressed in). Will I need to order the complete agitator assembly or can the bearing be replaced? If yes, how?
1 Answer Hello Buddy, You will need to order and replace the brake WP35-6714, stator WP35-6918, and snubber WP21002026 on the unit. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Johnny. This model does not use the dogs in it. You will need to remove the agitator and see if the splines in the base 21001530 are stripped out. If not, and the agitator is striped and not working, you may have a transmission 35-6615 issue with the unit or a bad thrust bearing 12002213 in the unit. Read More...

Terry M. September 16, 2011 for Model Number PAV2300aww I just received a new auger post #ap4024469 after a few minutes in operation it started to skip ,making a chattering sound every other turn, just like the old one did before it came apart. Now it skips 2 times for every time it catches. Is this piece defective from the manufacture? This seems to be a common problem with this auger post. Is there a fix? I checked all mating parts for wear and they are not broke. It seems to be inside the auger post. When tested off the machine in hand it skips. Thanks for your time,,,,Terry
1 Answer Hello Terry. Check and make sure the upper agitator 21001878 is seated properly on the lower agitator. If so, you may need to replace the lower agitator 21001530. Hope this helps. Read More...
