Amy December 14, 2016 for Model Number KitchenAid KEHS01PMT1 My dryer is not registering all cycles when turning the cycle knob, and starts beeping almost immediately after starting. Also seems extremely hot within a few seconds. Would that be the control board (circuit board)?
1 Answer Hello Shawn. You will need to test for power to the control board WP8558455 on the unit. If there is power there and it does not light up, you will need to replace the board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Ray O. March 14, 2015 for Model Number maytag modelMGD9700SQ gas dryer dryer does not bring up diagnostic codes except for an 88 but no others and all panel leds light up red except for one which is green on the cycle complete led.
1 Answer Hello Ray, This sounds like a possible door switch issue. The control could have a diagnostic failure. You should also run the diagnostic motor test. These are all explained in the tech sheet. Read More...
Kerry July 18, 2012 for Model Number med9700sbo My Maytag dryer will not start. All front controls are working, but when i press the start all i hear is a beep and a click, which is the motor relay. Using the tech sheet the power on diagnostics gives me an E3 when the door is opened, back to 88when closed and a 09 when the moisture sensors in the drum are touched. When I get to motor circuit test resistance between P1-3 and P1-4 does not read. Is the control board faulty? I have checked the thermal fuse, thermister, belt switch and door switch- all were good. Thank you for your help
1 Answer Hello Kerry. If there is no resistsance there, then it sounds like the control is bad on the unit and will need to be replaced. Read More...
