Magdalene July 01, 2015 for Model Number WED4900XW0 Dryer had Burning smell, cut off. Was told there was a towel in the blower wheel. How does a towel get in the blower wheel??
Rayanne777 January 07, 2015 for Model Number MEDC200XW0 My dryer is taking up to 3x longer to dry, could this be the blower wheel? It's getting hot and spinning but taking forever. It had stopped spinning about 2 weeks ago, I took it apart today and found that one of the pulleys had come off, I put it back and put the belt back on, but still taking at least 3 hours to dry.
2 Answers Hello Rayanne777. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked or the blower wheel is bad. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. Read More...

2 Answers Rayanne, You will want to check the venting from the blower wheel to the outside of the unit to make sure that the vent is clear and free of obstructions which is the most likely cause for this issue. Read More...
Juni N.. December 16, 2014 for Model Number WED4800XQ3 Hi. Our dryer is making huge noise and .....I found out part of blow wheel inside of venting tube. Do you think replace blow wheel would solve the problem? Thanks.
1 Answer JunI N, Yes you'd want to replace the blower wheel as soon as possible. The off center rotation will put a lot more stress on the motor and bearings and cause a premature failure. You'll also want to clear any debris that has accumulated in the housing and exhaust pipe. Read More...

Christian 07 December 01, 2013 for Model Number 110.67632600 My dryer is no longer heating. A few months ago it wasn't heating, and I checked the back of the dryer and found the that the dryer hose to the outside wasn't attached and there was a lint clog at the back of it. When I cleaned that out, it started heating again and has worked wonderfully until yesterday. I checked the back and it has no clog, but it still isn't working. How can I tell it it's the heating element or maybe a lint clog somewhere else? Could it be the wheel?
1 Answer Christian, You will want to make sure that the venting to the outside of the home is clear. Also check to see if the heating element is coming on and if not then you will want to check to make sure that the thermal fuse and hi limit thermostat have continuity. If they do not have continuity then they are faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
