This knob base installs behind a range or oven control knob to support and align the control shaft, restoring secure knob engagement and reliable control operation. It's a direct-fit replacement for worn or damaged knob mounting. What it does:

• Centers and supports the control shaft so the knob stays aligned and turns smoothly
• Prevents a knob from wobbling, slipping, or falling off the control shaft
• Helps restore positive engagement so selector and temperature settings register correctly
• Fits behind the exterior control knob on many GE ranges and ovens

What's included: One knob base (single piece) Install notes:

• Disconnect power to the appliance before beginning any work; for gas ranges, shut off the gas supply if applicable
• Remove the control knob and any trim to access the old knob base; retain screws and fasteners
• Inspect the control shaft and surrounding trim for damage; replace knob base only if the shaft and trim are in good condition
