The Spring Mounting Bracket is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. It is located at the bottom of the appliance, near the base. It provides a secure attachment point for the suspension springs, which help absorb vibrations and stabilize the drum during operation.
Causes of a faulty spring mounting bracket can include regular wear and tear, physical damage, or improper installation. These factors can result in issues such as excessive shaking or movement of the appliance, increased noise during operation, or unbalanced loads.
Symptoms of a bad spring mounting bracket may include:
- Excessive shaking or movement of the appliance during operation
- Increased noise or rattling sounds during the wash or drying cycle
- Unbalanced loads, causing the drum to tilt or not spin properly
This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.
