Richard K Ventura , CA August 10, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF266AERS/XAA-0001 The water dispenser switch broke it actually jammed the dispenser letting the water free flow so i had to remove the rubbery button and remove the broken plastic switch So I went on line, check out a few sites that weren't that much help and ended up here. A couple other comments really helped . I ordered the assembly and received it in a few days. It was easy to repair. The assembly has tabs all the way around it. I took a scraper/ putty knife and put tape on it so I wouldn't scratch the finish of the fridge. Pry and pop the old assembly off, working your way around the unit. I came across appliance parts pros. I was not sure the cover would be the correct part until I read the reviews. I was so easy to remove and replace the broken cover assy. A wide stiff putty knife rather than a small bendable knife removed the cover. Just push it under the side and the whole side will lift up. Use your fingers to pop the whole assy off and put the new one on. Total time to fix 3 minutes which included going to the garage a second time to get the larger putty knife. Hugh M Saint Johns , FL September 26, 2014 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RF266ABBP/XAA Water dispenser broken After my kids broke the dispenser cover, it was operated for over a year by using your finger through the hole where the rubber cover was to press the lever making getting water a 2 hand operation. Ordered spares when fixing another project (Clothes Dryer). Examining the Cover showed how it was attached and a small flat screwdriver was used to release the tabs holding it in place. It turns out that the water hose & Lever were not needed after all (they were cheap and I ordered them just in case). New cover simply snapped into place. In actuality, it took less than 2 minutes and it works perfectly! I used small flat screwdrivers to pop the old panel off and simply snapped the new one on.
