Poped off plastics caseing inside the frigerator. Unscrewed 4 screws holding black fan inplace. Followed yellow wire to locate white sensor. Need to be careful not to break styrofoam, don't force it, it should seporate from plastic easy as long as the 4 screws are out. Swap it for the new one and button it back up. Replaced the inside back panel which comes with a new fan. Seems the old fan had stopped working due to ice which burned it out. The drain tube was blocked and ice built up on the bottom plate. Using a basting tube from Walmart and hot water I thawed out the ice in the tube. The basting tube became much like a toilet plunger and cleared the line rapidly. Nothing else worked as fast. The amount of water being dispensed into the ice cube tray was excessive, causing overflow of the tray. The water then ran into the collection bin and even down the side walls of the freezer creating a huge block of ice in the bin, and ice all over the lower shelves as well. The excessive build up of ice caused the cube tray to crack and also split the little silicone water grommet that connects to the water delivery tube which directs water into the cube tray. First, I removed the old gaskets, which was a very easy task since they are held in the doors by rubber beads in recessed slots. I installed the new right door gasket in less than 10 minutes by gradually pushing the retainer bead into the door recessed slot with finger pressure until it was seated properly. The left door bead was somewhat more difficult to install into the bead slot, because the recessed bead slot is covered by a hinged flap on its left edge that doesn't permit easy access.... Found one of the drain valves was clogged causing condensation to overflow on the floor behind the refrigerator. Order the parts on Monday morning and they arrived tuesday afternoon. Replace both of the valves in 15 minutes. Easy repair and save a bundle over a service call. Read more

I took all the items out of the refrigerator. Removed the screws that hold the cover over the evaporator motor. Than for three hours used a hair drier to remove ice. The panel was frozen on if you pull on it it will break. Soaked up all the water removed the panel and took the fan blade off. That was difficult because it looks like a regular screw head however, you need to push in that which will cause it to release the blades and than push it onto the new motor. First, I modified old butter knife by bending a 90° angle about 3/4" from the tip. I slid the bent in up under the bottom of the switch cover and worked it to one side. I then rotated the knife downward using the bent end to pry the cover off. The switch is held by plastic arms on each side. The bottom right arm has a locating pin that fits into the switch. I have a Samsung fridge and I had a problem were low pressure water kept coming out of the dispenser and would not stop. Samsung does not make it easy to replace the casters. The shafts holding the casters are crimped at the ends and had to be cut off with little room for any tools. I had to jack up the fridge and I used a hacksaw blade with a handle to cut through the wheel shafts. I didn't want to use a reciprocating saw. I couldn't find a way to crimp the new shafts so I drilled small holes at the ends and used cotter pins to retain the shafts in place.The rear caster had no room to slide the new one in... Read more

Unscrewed old flap. Then unplugged it. Plugged in new flap ( make sure it is right side up). Screw both hinges back, and voilà, fridge fixed! Read more

I looked at the blow up drawing to figure out what parts I might need. I then watched a you tube video to see how to take the handle off. I kind of figured out on my own how to remove the ruined cap handle. It took me a few minutes to figure it out and more time to remove both the handle and the broken part.
