Ross L Cherry Hill , NJ January 09, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Dryer DV5471AGW/XAA Dryer wouldn't shut off even when cycle done had to pull plug to shut off My Samsung dryer wouldn't shut off after a cycle. Only way to get it to stop tumbling was to open the dryer door or pull the plug. After doing some research, finding others who had the same issue and finding that others had fixed this issue by replacing the main controller board, I decided to order the part at Appliance Parts Pros. They had the best price and the most information on their web site compared to other parts stores. The main board arrived in a few days and was incredibly easy to install. Two screws...top panel lifted off...pulled the controller board cover...snapped a picture to reference where the wires all went...pulled the old board...installed new board...re-connected wires...put it all back together...voila! Sanity restored!! The whole job took maybe 10 minutes. So easy. I don't know exactly how much money I saved but I'm sure it was at least a few hundred bucks. The dryer is fixed, the price was awesome, and the shipping was super fast. Thank you so much for a great shopping experience! Clark W Austin , TX June 09, 2015 My samsung dryer with steam feature would not stop running unless it was unplugged from the electrical outlet even with the power off on the panel the unit would run A local service repair service charged me $54 to come and tell me it was the control board. He quoted the replacement panel was $399 but he would credit me the $54 service charge if I ordered it with a 10 day delivery. I decided against the repair and bought a $500 dryer from Lowes. I decided to look on line to see if the control board was really $399. I found that Appliance Parts Pros sold the board for $85. I ordered the board and it actually arrived the next day even though they quoted a 3 day delivery. I checked You Tube for installation help which was available. The repair took me less than 10 minutes and the unit is running normally again. Returned the Lowes dryer and life is good again. I intend to Yelp the local service repair service and share my story. Shame on them for asking for $399 for a repair I was able to do for $85 once the problem was determined. Joseph R West Des Moines , IA May 12, 2017 Samsung dryer ran constantly unless unplugged or door opened (no heat just spinning drum and air) Replaced main control board. It took about 20 minutes, including pulling the dryer out and squeezing my fat butt behind it to unscrew the back. It is frustrating that it is a known issue and yet so easy to repair that would cost a ton if a repair man did it.
