Stefanie C Galloway , OH July 04, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Dryer DV5471AEP/XAA Drum wouldn't stop even when power off no heat After determining that others who had this problem fixed it by replacing the circuit board, I decided to try that. Not knowing which of the two circuit boards was the problem, I purchased and replaced both. My original intent was to try replacing only one at a time, but since I had difficulty getting the pieces reassembled, I replaced both and called it a day. I'm a middle-aged woman with no appliance repair experience. From the time I ordered the parts (with standard shipping) to the time the parts were on my doorstep, was under 24 hours. Awesome. Other than the fact that I couldn't find ANY instructions anywhere on how to do this replacement or even how to disassemble this part of the dryer, I was able to eventually figure it out. I found the pieces really difficult to align...this was the most time-consuming part of the job...not intellectually difficult, just "puzzle" difficult. Definitely worth of effort since it sounds like having a repairman come out to do this would cost over $400, and I fixed it for $120. Lauren B Wilmington , NC May 21, 2016 Dryer wouldn't stop running even with power "off" dryer wouldn't heat This was a perfect fix! I easily replaced this part and the other (smaller) circuit board in 10 minutes. I am a stay at home mom with NO previous appliance repair skills. Seriously, anyone could fix this. You just remove the screws at the back of the control panel, the circuit boards pop out, replace them, and BOOM dryer fixed. Thanks applianceparts.com for an awesome experience!
