James C Alton Bay , NH August 26, 2017 Appliance: Samsung Washer WF361BVBEWR/A2-0001 Broken weight balancer Found appliancepartspros.com. Chose it for the exploded views of the washer and no-nonsense parts listings. Received the part in 2 days. With help from youtube, I had the new part swapped in under an hour, not bad because I had never taken this washer apart before. Jonathan F Pensacola , FL November 22, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Washer WF361BVBEWR/A2-0001 Washing machine made a terrible noise and started violently shaking Top counterbalance on a Samsung frontload split down the plastic seam and threw concrete chunks around. Bought a new counterbalance weight. Slide the top of the machine off, remove the front control panel. You can leave the front of the washer on. Removed the two bolts holding it in place and put the new weight in. Added some spots of epoxy on the plastic seams that wrap the concrete just in case. Put it all back together and it works fine now. The Samsung exploding washer issue says frontloads aren't effected. But that's pretty much what mine sounded like during the spin cycle when it threw concrete chunks around. Tried to get help from them and they told me I would have to get a repair person from several states away come and fix it. After finding out that they would not ship me parts, they claimed only authorized repairmen could get them, I did some searching on line and found Appliance Parts Pro web site and they were fantastic.. They have repair videos, all the parts for your machine listed, and their prices are the best and shipping and packaging are awesome.. I highly recommend them Read More... 18 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set
Brent B Hudsonville , MI April 20, 2020 Very loud banging and shaking on spin cycle. I took apart the washer to find both of the weight balancers had broken in 2 and were banging around. They had also caused the boot seal to rip. I removed the broken weight balancers and replaced them along with a new boot seal. There was one small spot with the seal wasn't fully attached to the outer drum so I had to take it back apart to fix that minor error on my part. Otherwise, it was a fairly easy fix.
