Dishwasher Timer Control Knob Parts

I noticed something was wrong when the dishwasher no longer remembered the last cycle performed. After it finished, it would go to a default cycle. A couple of weeks ago, my husband said it wouldn't start. Then I noticed on subsequent washes, there was a high probability that it would hang at a random part of the wash cycle. I replaced the circuit board behind the pushbuttons. At first there was no change in the controls, then i remembered that the door needed to be closed for it to work. Yah! It works now. $119 parts and installed it myself vs. $450 for a new machine. Read more

The new one slid right on easily. It didn't come with a screw but the threads are the same as the screws that are used for putting in light switches so all you need to do is either get a short one or trim a light switch or outlet screw down to size. Read more

Googled my appliance model number for problem and indications were the control panel. I identified the part for model WDF510PAYBA. Ordered and Received part promptly and installed myself. Took some thought and effort but I am mechanical and it went in perfectly. Saved $100 by not calling a repair service out. Now all cycles and features are working again. Although most sources said that my problem was generally a mechanical part failure, my Bosch dishwasher seems to have more issues with the control board failing than the circulation pump being the problem. Replaced the Control Unit and the dishwasher is like new again. Read more

Here's what the problem was: Started the 'Normal' cycle... I closed the door... it calls for water, water fills, ECS sensor doesn't kick it to the next segment of the cycle (wash), so the water over-fills and reaches the over-fill sensor. So many other are replacing the plastic 'case-brake,' main board, and the ECS sensor.
