- Common symptoms include a loose knob, no response when turning, or difficulty gripping
What's included: One control knob assembly. Install notes:
- Disconnect power and allow hot surfaces to cool before service
- Pull the old knob straight off the shaft; avoid prying against the panel
- Align the new knob with the shaft flat and press firmly until seated
- Test operation through the full range of settings

This dryer blower housing encloses the blower wheel and directs air from the drum through the lint filter to the exhaust vent. Replacing a damaged housing restores proper airflow for consistent drying and helps keep lint contained within the airflow path.
- Encloses and supports the blower wheel while channeling air from the drum to the exhaust
- Maintains correct airflow and back pressure for efficient drying performance
- Replace if the housing is cracked, warped, melted, or otherwise damaged
- Typical symptoms include weak vent airflow, longer dry times, rattling or scraping from the blower area, or visible lint leakage
What's included: 1 blower housing Install notes:
- Disconnect power; if gas, also shut off the gas supply
- Access the blower area by removing the lower/front panel and lint ducting as required by your model
- Transfer the blower wheel and any brackets from the old housing; clean lint from ducts before reassembly
- Ensure the housing seats fully and all duct connections are tight; spin the blower by hand to verify clearance before restoring power

I replaced the duct with the "new improved" replacement part. Hopefully it will solve the problem!
Of course one of about twenty screws was unrecoverable. Had to grind the head off! Otherwise quite easy.

Dryer stopped heating Mark L. • Parkersburg , WV • March 30, 2020
Our heating element had broken coils. Typed model number in to see which parts were likely to fix the problem. AppliancePartsPros told me exactly which parts to try. For the cost, it seemed the best decision was to order the complete Heating Element Assembly, rather than risk needing the two smaller parts as well. Decided to order new vent as well. The parts arrived super fast and the on-site video showed step-by-step how to install the new part. From diagnosis to drying laundry in less than 48...

Changed the dryer vent location from the rear to the right side Andrew K. • Santa Clara , CA • April 16, 2014
Used the Wpl. Vent Kit, 4-way. This is not a quick, easy job. You have to disassemble the dryer, removing the entire front, door, drum, and control panel. Take your time and take pictures as you go so you can get it all back together again after installing the conversion kit. It will take you at least an hour, and you need room to work. Also, remember that after converting the dryer over to left or right vent, you now have a wider dryer with the ducting sticking out the side. (4") Make sure it...

This is a lint duct housing kit that directs airflow from the dryer drum through the lint screen area and toward the exhaust vent. It forms the internal ductwork that channels warm, lint-laden air so it passes through the lint filter before exiting the dryer. Replace this housing if it is cracked, melted, or damaged, which can cause poor drying performance, longer cycle times, or lint buildup inside the dryer cabinet.
