I ordered a replacement handle and screws. The process was very easy with the help of one of your "pros" who found all the parts needed and took my order. I didn't realize I was getting both a refrigerator door handle and a freezer door handle in one set, but now we have the freezer handle if we need it. Removing the old handle and installing the replacement was very easy. It looks great, in fact the replacement is metal, whereas the original was plastic, so it looks better than it ever did!

I tested the fan outside of the freezer with an adapted direct plug-in cord and it ran fine. I tested the controller tsd it was within the good range along with the run capacitor and it tested good as well. I then tested the compressor resistance, it tested good, although the compressor could have been mechanically bad, it wasn't and I don't know of a way to test for it. It was easy to find the part on appliance parts pros. Once I found it I studied the diagram and determined that there were 3 screws in the drum that needed to be removed. I disconnected power and then removed 3 interior screws. Once I did that I removed the back cover and removed the single screw on the bottom side of the air duct that held it in place connected to the heat tube.
