Genuine Frigidaire part

Part Number: 297286810
This run capacitor helps the refrigerator compressor start and run smoothly, restoring normal operation when a weak or failed capacitor causes the compressor to struggle. Replacing a faulty capacitor can reduce humming and improve cooling performance. What it does:
- Provides continuous phase-shift to the compressor motor for stable running.
- Helps maintain proper compressor speed and efficiency during operation.
- Commonly replaced when the compressor hums, won't stay running, or cooling is inconsistent.
- Reduces risk of repeated motor cycling caused by a weak or open capacitor.
What's included: One run capacitor. Install notes:
- Always disconnect power to the appliance before accessing electrical components.
- Discharge the capacitor before handling; capacitors can hold a charge even when powered off.
- Observe terminal orientation and mounting location; replace with the same type and ratings.

This 6-position switch assembly replaces a worn or damaged selector switch to restore reliable electrical switching for the appliance control. It helps recover proper cycle selection and responsive control inputs for normal operation. What it does:
- Routes power between control circuits so selected cycles and settings engage correctly.
- Restores reliable selector/position switching when the control won't change settings.
- Common symptom when failing: appliance is unresponsive to cycle changes, selections don't register, or operation is intermittent.
- Matches the OEM switch function used in the control/timer area of compatible units.
What's included: One switch assembly. Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before beginning any service to avoid shock hazard.
- Remove required panels or the control console to access the switch; keep track of screw locations and wire connections.
- Photograph or label wiring before disconnecting to ensure correct reassembly.

Our water started to hesitate before dispensing. This happened for about a week and then it stopped dispensing altogether. The ice maker was working, but when I put my ear above the dispenser, I heard no humming when depressed. Searched for a solution and watched some youtube videos and decided to try this part. Worked like a charm. Install was sloppy because I was trying to remove and replace from the back of the cover. In fact, peeling th adhesive off the front was the only way. It looks...

Lg refrigerator wound not start Steve S. • Peoria , AZ • May 28, 2016
For an emergency fix I installed a 3 in1 kit disabling the original start cap and wiring in the original run cap to the run winding.
Ordered the proper PTC and overload from Appliance Parts Pros and installed them 2 weeks later.
The original start and run capacitor were good, rewired back to design specs.
The original PTC had pins 1,2 and 3, the replacement had 2,3 and 4.
Only wiring change was to install the red wire from pin 1 on the original PTC to pin 4 on the new PTC.

This micro switch detects door or lid position and tells the appliance when the door is closed so cycles can start or safety interlocks stay engaged. It restores reliable door sensing and helps prevent operation with the door open. What it does:
- Acts as a position sensor that completes or breaks the control circuit when the door/lid is closed or opened
- Keeps the appliance from starting or continuing a cycle if the door is open (safety interlock)
- Common symptom fix: appliance won't start, stops mid-cycle, or shows door-related error codes
- Small electrical switch designed to mount at the door latch or frame and connect to the appliance wiring harness
What's included: One micro switch Install notes:
- Disconnect power (unplug or shut off breaker) before attempting service
- Access may require removing panels, trim, or the door latch assembly; keep track of screws and fasteners
- Observe wiring orientation and connector positions; replace exactly as removed or tag wires
