Dryer would not turn on Kathie R. • Burlington , WI • January 15, 2016
The dryer is a Kenmore Laundry Center, model 417-99570150. Bought in 1998, so it is an older model. Not wanting to buy the newer ones that are out now. We opted to fix the Kenmore. Just believe the older models are worth fixing, if at all possible.
Frist we had to figure out what parts we would need and if the cost would be worth our time. I went on YouTube: and type in Kenmore dryer not turning on. Watched several videos to narrow down the possible problem.
Next step was to...

Could not remove old power cord from back of dryer (screw heads stripped due to soft metal) Michael A. • Lewiston , ME • August 26, 2017
I had to remove my dryer so I could install a new floor. The dryer would not fit through the doorway with the power cord attached. Since the power cord was fastened to the back using 3 phillip headed screws, I gently backed them out with a phillip headed screwdriver. However, two of the 3 screws gave me extreme trouble. The head of the screws were made of such a weak metal, that the screw head began stripping. I have a phillip screw kit with different sized heads, so I picked a head that...

The dryer did not heat! Linda R. • La Jolla , CA • November 30, 2014
My appliance repair guy checked out the problem, but the stack washer dryer required the contractor to dismantle the cabinet to allow the repair to occur. So i wanted the parts available for the repair, so we would not have to have the dryer pulled apart in a small space for an extended time i ordered the parts on Friday afternoon and they arrived at my home before noon on Saturday! The contractor and the repairman were able to coordinate the repair on Tuesday morning, and though the...

This heater assembly warms the wash water inside the tub so the control can reach and maintain the selected temperature. Replacing a failed element restores proper heating performance and helps return cycle times to normal. What it does:
- Heats the water in the washer's tub during applicable cycles
- Helps the control reach and hold target temperatures for better cleaning
- Failure symptoms can include cold wash water, extended cycle times, and reduced cleaning performance
- Visual damage or an open circuit on the element indicates replacement is needed
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and turn off water before servicing
- The heater mounts at the bottom of the outer tub; remove front or rear panels as required by your model to access it
- Note wire locations; loosen the center nut, press the stud to release the old seal, and carefully withdraw the element
- Seat the new gasket evenly, tighten the nut to compress the seal, then run a test cycle to check for leaks and proper heating

Frigidaire front load dryer was beeping and i could not get display to go off it actually dried clothes fine but in middle of night the beeping would start unable to get error codes Ronald B. • Haverhill , MA • September 11, 2015
Let me tell you that the videos made by AppliancePartsPros.com are what I needed most. They are simplified and complete. It turned out that because of a loose connection at the power terminal block, it over heated, melting the block and of course frying the wiring and distorting the connections. The erratic power supply must have damaged the control board. I ordered the terminal block and control board and although a little time consuming for a rookie, I got it working first time. I actually...

- Helps reduce loose contacts, arcing, and heat damage at the plug
- If the housing is failing, you may see intermittent or no motor operation, the machine stopping mid-cycle, or visible melting/discoloration at the motor connector
What's included: 1 plastic motor connector housing Install notes:
- Disconnect power; also shut off gas supply
- Note wire positions; transfer terminals into the new housing one at a time to maintain orientation
