A carriage bolt is a type of fastener. It features a smooth rounded head and a square domed top. It has threading, which leads to up to the square shoulder. The purpose of its square is to prevent the bolt from spinning. Once the carriage bolt is inserted through the hole, using a nut and washer can provide additional security. Carriage bolts can corrode and loosen over time. Since it doesn't have a slotted head, a socket wrench is needed when replacing. This bolt carriage replacement is compatible with wood chippers, tillers, string trimmers, lawnmowers, and edgers. It is a genuine MTD product that measures 5/16x.075. It has a smooth rounded head and square shoulder underneath it. This carriage bolt is sold individually.

Washers are used in various locations on many types of lawn and garden equipment and can help to keep a bolt or screw in place. The washer will also help to spread the load from connection, which can help to reduce the risk of damage. One of the most common reasons to replace a washer is if the current washer is lost. If the washer is corroded or if it has been bent or otherwise damaged, it should be replaced, as well. Replacing a washer is generally easy, but this can depend on the location of the washer that needs to be replaced. The authentic OEM replacement flat washer is sold individually. Having several of these available for future needs is a good idea. The washer can be used on snowblowers, lawn mowers, tillers, edgers, log splitters, chainsaws, and wood chippers. Compatible brands include Craftsman, Cub Cadet, Ryobi, Troy-Bilt, Husky, Murray, Yard Machines, MTD, Huskee, Montgomery Wards, Bolens, Yard-Man, Turf King, and MasterCut.

This replacement part is a hex screw. This part is small but important in many different kinds of machinery. Screws secure components within the equipment.Over time, screws can become stripped or corroded, causing them to break or get stuck in place. Excessive vibration during the use could also eventually lead to a screw coming loose and being lost. This is a genuine OEM replacement part manufactured by MTD. This part is sold individually.
This replacement part is a center sprocket. This is a genuine replacement part made by MTD. This part is used to connect certain pieces and use a turning or rotating mechanism to allow the engine to run properly and effectively. A new center sprocket might be needed if the current one has worn ridges. This can be due to a high level of friction after years of normal wear and tear. Because of the rotating motion, this part can be easily stripped over time and will need to be replaced. Wear work gloves during this repair to prevent injury to the user and those around them. This is a genuine OEM replacement part. This part is sold individually and is sourced directly from the manufacturer.
An idler pulley is an essential part of many small and medium sized gasoline powered tools. This idler pulley is used in equipment such as tillers, lawn tractors, log splitters, edgers, snow blowers, and trimmers. The idler pulley is necessary so that the engine can run without the tool's moving parts being engaged. For instance, a lawn tractor running without the cutting blades turning or the wheels rolling. Once the idler pulley is engaged, the blade begins to turn. There is a great deal of resistance encountered by the idler pulley each time the equipment's tools begin to turn. Over time, the pulley can become worn and will eventually need to be replaced. If there is a squealing sound whenever the moving parts of a lawn tool are engaged, it is probably a sign that the idler pulley is about to fail. The pulley itself is attached to the engine housing with 9/16 hex bolts and requires an adjustable wrench and 9/16 ratchet to remove and replace. Always use a genuine OEM manufactured replacement part such as this one when replacing the original, as this part is identical to the original. This part is compatible with equipment manufactured by Bolens, MTD, Cub Cadet, Huskee, and Troy Bilt.
