Organizes and supports dishes during wash cycles. Replace if cracked, rusted, missing tines, or coating is flaking. Restores smooth loading function.
Kitchen Aid dishwasher is 11 years old, and the tines have been rusting and biting the dust one by over the last few years. Rather than further destroy my dishes by abrading them with rust particles, I decided to get new racks. They are terribly expensive, and I pondered getting a new dishwasher. It wouldn't be that much more expensive. But I love mine and how well it washes. It has a stainless interior, and all of the seals are in excellent shape. I didn't need any tools. (Although I'm a... Dishwasher control panel with button interface. Installs on dishwasher door. Replace when buttons are cracked, unresponsive, or panel is damaged.
I followed the instructions to verify whether the problem was the control panel or the control board. Basically, if you disconnect the control panel from the control board, reconnect the AC, and close the washer door and the pump comes on and runs for 2 minutes before turning off then the problem is with the control panel. If nothing happens then the problem is with the control board. For me the problem was the control panel (pump ran for 2 minutes and then shut off) which is a good result... Read more

Figured it was either the capacitor and/or motor. Ordered both parts to be sure. tried changing the capacitor first; same problem. Replaced the motor (leaving the new capacitor in place). Unit now works fine. Overall an easy fix once you get the washer out and tip it on its side or top to get access to the motor area. Read more

I bought the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Removed water inlet hose. Removed water outlet hose. Removed water inlet valve which was held on with one screw. Replaced the water inlet value. Reattached both hoses. It leaked a little bit, so I had to put plumbing tape and really make it tight. Then the leaked stopped. Read more

We had a repair man come and inspect the unit (Independent). He said he would get the part and get back with us. Almost 8 weeks past, with many calls to the service for an update. So I ordered the part he said was bad, the control board. He did not check the fuse. I ordered the fuse, the new board worked. I removed the new and replaced the old control board. Everything is fine. Thus, I am returning the board. The suggestion to replace the fuse came from your on line tech. He saved me... Read more
