The Screw is an OEM part for Whirlpool appliances that is responsible for securing various parts in place. The screw ensures a tight and secure fit, preventing any loose parts. A bad screw can occur due to wear and tear or accidental damage. If the screw becomes stripped, rusted, or lost, it can lead to instability or even malfunction of the affected parts.
Symptoms of a bad screw include:
This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.
Overall the fix wasn't too hard. The challenge was putting the oven door back together and holding it together while trying to tighten the screws. Enlisted my wife's help to hold the door and at first the handle screws wouldn't tighten. My cordless screwdriver's battery was under-charged. Once I switched batteries I was able to tighten the screws. Seemed like I needed to push too hard (my wife freaked "not so hard you will strip them!") however pushing hard was what was needed. Both screws... Read more

Ordered Bake Element, Y04100019 (Whirlpool AP4283614) to replace a broken bake element on my 30-year old Jenn-Air Model S125 Downdraft Slide-in electric range. Received the element very quickly but it had been damaged in shipping. Called AppliancePartsPros to report this and they quickly shipped another element - very easy process. Includes lock latch motor and switch
I knew the door latch was suppose to lock for self clean and it wasn't, so I took the back off and after tracing out wires and the linkage to the door latch, determined that it was a faulty motor on the latch lock. I got on line and Appliance Parts Pros was the first place that I found the part. I was surprised that it wasn't real expensive, but I kept looking for a cheaper price only to come back to order it from APP. I order it around 9:00 on a Thursday night and it was on my front porch... Read more
Range oven won't ignite or heat? Gas valve controls gas flow to burners. Common fix when igniter sparks but no flame appears. 10-15 minute repair.
I know absolutely nothing about fixing appliances, nothing. So I googled and found this site and narrowed it down to 1 of three parts (totaling about $550). I tried the first two and with no luck I almost gave up thinking I didn't know what I was doing and better off buying a new stove. For the last part I had to dissemble more and thought I was getting over my head, guess what? The oven worked!!! The part I needed was only $150 and saved money on labor and who knows what what else. Just to... Read more

This oven was a Kenmore model #66595822003. I replaced both spring hinges. This oven was a white oven so it took the MFG# WP8053807 hinge (order two of them). They are the same hinge. No left or right. To get the door off the oven, open the door all the way open, I installed pins (preferably only 1/4" long) in the holes of both hinges. Then remove the spring steel retainers above old hinges in the oven frame. These holds hinges in place. Now close the door until hinge stops on pins. Lift up... Read more

After being told by a service repairman that it would cost me close to $200 to repair, I resolved to just not use the dispenser. After about a year, I had decided that I wanted to repair it and would look at the options myself. At the least, I could figure out which parts were needed to repair it and have them on hand for a service guy if I determined I could not do the job myself. The more I studied it, the more I felt confident that I could do it, and sure enough, when the part arrived - a... Read more

I received the valve in 2 days removed the stem and inserted it directly into the existing burner valve. Perfect fit easy installation and burner works as it should.
