Leaking water from your refrigerator or no water/ice from dispenser? This water inlet valve controls flow to ice maker and dispenser. DIY repair in 30 min.
I replaced the solenoid valve and trimmed a small amount of the tubing that serves the ice maker and water dispenser. The only problem was there is almost NO slack in that tubing. If you trim more than a half inch off, you won't have enough tubing to connect it on both ends. Read more

After my layman's diagnosis (hope) of a bad micro switch to the ice dispenser (would not activate and dispense ice through the chute) I purchased the both the ice and water dispenser micro switches (kill two birds with one stone). Removed 2 screws from mullion strip heater and slid it up off the tabs at top and bottom. Unhooked the plug and removed it. Verified proper mullion heater and then plugged wiring connection back together, positioned slide clips back in line and slid mullion down onto the clips. Tucked the wiring back into opening positioned cover back in place and reiinstalled the 2 screws. Ordered new tube part AJR56656503 for Lg LFX25978ST/01 watched a lot of videos but none showed how to remove the door tube end from its connection so I just cut and spliced the new tube to the old under the cover for the door hinge area after feeding it from the back of frig to that area.
