Be careful not to tighten or twist the small hex nut in the knob cylinder/housing with force. there is a very small plastic set tab that can be broken off easily. how do I know? The orientation of the switch "box" is horizontal instead of vertical. otherwise, this replacement part # works as expected. I couldn't get the switch to attach plate removed, and the switch removed, without removing the entire cooktop and removing the top glass burner cover. Not difficult, but time-consuming. Read more

The tray was an easy fix as I looked up Kenmore Microwave and ordered the replacement. The light bulb was a little trickier as to replace it you must have a special screwdriver that has a 5-pointed bit with a hole in the middle. This is because nothing else is safely serviceable on the microwave. I unplugged the microwave and moved it to my kitchen table to do the work. Take the top vent off by two screws & then one screw on the side & lifted her up and I could see the 3 switches I need to repair. Then unscrewed the housin to the 3 switches. Took the housin out , put the 3 switches in the new housing & put her in & plug them in . And plug the Nucor and she works like new. Highly recommended to deal with these people good people for the do-it-yourselfer. Read more
