The Time Delay Fuse is an OEM part for LG microwaves. This fuse provides a safety mechanism by delaying the flow of electricity, protecting the microwave's electrical components from power surges and ensuring the appliance operates safely. It helps to prevent immediate damage in the event of a power surge or electrical fault, thus prolonging the lifespan of the microwave.
Over time, the time delay fuse can become damaged due to electrical surges, wear and tear, or faulty connections. If the fuse blows, it can disrupt the microwave’s ability to function correctly.

Microwave won't heat but runs normally? A failed magnetron is the likely cause. This part generates the microwaves that cook food. Moderate DIY repair.
My son told me that almost all the microwave ovens that came into the repair center he worked at, 15 years ago, had a defective magnetron. I ordered a magnetron, and sat back until one shipped. The one that came, the first time, was in a small factory cardboard box, which was in a large bubble-pak Fedex envelope; which didn't show any signs of abuse. Inside, however, the factory box was beat up. Removing the magnetron, I noticed that the socket, as well as its' pins, was bent, and loose in the... Read more
Microwave door won't stay closed or latch? This door latch spring provides tension to secure the door shut. DIY repair in under 10 minutes with video help.
Ordered door latch part and new spring. You Tube video helped me identify what I needed. I tried the fix recommended and it didn't work so I ordered the parts. It took less than 5 minutes to switch out the old for the new. If the door doesn't latch, you can't run the microwave and it's key. It wasn't an expensive or hard fix to get my microwave up and running again. So pleased with AppliancePartsPros for having what I needed and being reasonable about pricing. Turnaround time was excellent! Read more

Knowing the odds of 2 failures occurring at the same exact time was unusually high, I just searched your site for what other broken items might affect these two failures. Came up with next control item upstream and tallied that item failure with percentages of successful repairs, (4 mins.) door safety switch. Since I had to change out the most likely of the 3 and since I was already was going to be into the switch panel I ordered all 3 and swapped them all out to cover my butt, as they were... Read more
Microwave won't heat or makes loud buzzing noise? The diode regulates magnetron current flow. Simple repair—test with multimeter for continuity.
I have a multimeter so I was able to check the fuse per website recommendations and it was blown. However, the capacitor on the microwave was also original so I elected to replace the capacitor, fuse, and the ground protect diode. The repair was very simple (making sure the capacitor was discharged before replacing) and the microwave is now up and running again. Excellent trade to buy $40 worth of parts rather than a new $400 microwave. One nit - Kenmore puts a screw in the back that... Read more
Turntable stopped turning or making noise? This microwave motor rotates the glass tray for even heating. Easy DIY fix with basic tools in under an hour.
I googled the make and model, and found the part on AppliancePartsPros.com. The underside of the oven has a metal grille with numerous openings of various shapes and sizes. There is a rectangle that is punched into this grille, just below the motor. I pried between the vent holes to snap the connections near the perimeter on the punched rectangle. I only did this on three sides. Then pry up the rectangle away from the connected side. Undid the hold down screw, separated the motor from the... Read more
