Washer Tub-To-Pump Drain Hose
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 131494800

Connects washer outer tub to drain pump, channeling water out during drain cycle. Replace if cracked, leaking, deteriorated, or damaged by pests.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaky drain hose   Rocco S. • Rochester , NY • February 24, 2017

Simply open the top of the washer by inserting a putty knife (watch YouTube ) and then the front panel by removing two bottom philips head screws on the front. The whole front panel comes right off. Using pliers the spring clams holding each hose, they come off and each hose is replaced. The drain one was only leaking but since it has open I changed both and even the drive belt. Whole job less than 1 hour. BTW parts arrived next day! Read more

Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 5303207409

Gas smell during or after cycles? Dryer won't heat? Replace the gas valve assembly to restore proper gas flow and safe operation. Advanced repair.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Gas smell in the dryer after a cycle completed no smell outside the dryer (until i opened the door!)   Matthew M. • Mcfarland , WI • April 25, 2016

Frigidaire Gallery gas dryer from maybe 15 years ago. Based on the fact the the smell was only in the dryer, I concluded it must be the gas valve failing to completely seal when closed. After looking at the insides again, I suppose it is possible that it was a connection near the burner, but that stuff had remained untouched for 10 years so I still think I made a good assumption. I got a new ignitor as well since I was in there, and compared to the valve, it was cheap! I thought I could get in... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The timer had stopped advancing   William S. • Arlington , TX • April 03, 2017

With a Phillips screw driver, on the back of the control panel there was about 6 or 7 screws to undo, to take the cover off and 2 screws holding the timer in place. Just undone those, took out old timer, made sure I took wires from old timer one at a time, and, put on new timer. Put everything back, although I had to find a couple of very small washers to make the timer fit tight, in the 2 holes it came out of. Luckily I had those or would of been a very loose timer. Very easy to do. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The stem of the original switch had been twisted off   Benjamin R. • Seattle , WA • April 15, 2019

I removed two sheet metal screws to remove the panel above the washing machine lid. That exposed four more phillips drive sheet metal screws, after removing those the dashboard control panel is held by two smaller black screws slightly recessed in the lower corners. This allowed the panel to be pulled down from the top, revealing the back of the switch. At this point I took a picture of the wiring connections with my cell phone to make sure I put them on the new switch in the same... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking washer tub   Hugh S. • Miami , FL • June 25, 2016

The seal at the bottom of the tub had started to fail. On large loads water would leak so I ordered a new one rubber seal. Getting the trunnion off the transmission shaft was hard as it was calcified and corroded. I used a wire brush to get some of it off and then used a lot of WD-40. The bolt holding the trunnion plate on sheared off when I tried to remove it on one side and the other came out ok (the bolt hole through the trunnion is not threaded so it should slide out once the plate is off... Air Duct Seal
Genuine Frigidaire part

  • Replaces a deteriorated or missing seal to restore the intended air path
What's included: 1 air duct seal Install notes:
  • Disconnect power; shut off gas supply for gas models
  • Access the air duct by removing the lint screen and top/front panels as needed
  • Remove the old seal and any residue; clean mating surfaces before installing the new seal
  • Seat the duct evenly against the panel when reassembling to ensure a uniform seal

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dryer belt broke on kenmore washer/dryer combo   Lillian H. • S Chesterfield , VA • January 15, 2018

Pulled front cover off of dryer and back plate to get belt on. Remember to always shut breaker off to machine and test to make sure no electricity is running to it. Pretty simple. I also replaced the seal to the air duct where the lint filter sits since I had to take the front the off anyway. About 1 hr of time to complete and I'll be 60 years old this month. Good thing I didn't have to pull the drum. Read more

This fix costed me $35 instead of the $400+ for a new washer glad i looked into it instead of discarding it and buying a new one as most may do thanks Read more

Watched a few of your videos and ordered the springs and a insert, and actually got the parts right. I am not a Appliance repair guy but I am retired and I am pretty handy so I thought what the heck. I watched the videos, a lot of common sense, common tools, and plenty of time. My knuckles are busted up and a little blood, but I got it done. Was actually kind of rewarding. Works like a champ. Googled the problem, watched videos on Youtube. Took apart machine and tried cleaning filter most people said was the problem. Wasn't anything but a penny in it so that wasn't the problem. I decided the pump must be bad ,the spring for the bellows and the console were broken so I bought those as well.
