"welded" venturi tube missing o rings broken gas line James F. • San Diego , CA • April 10, 2016
My 18+ year old Jennair cooktop, PN CCG2520W was in need of a rebuild b/c of a welded venturi tube on the right front [RF] burner. In order to remove the glass top cover, you MUST remove the venturi tube. To do this you have to DRILL-OUT the venturi tube which requires a new venturi and orifice holder. The repair was difficult b/c most of the parts are no longer available. But then I found a ray-of-hope.
I was able to find some Jennair (Maytag) parts but they are scarce. Later I found...

Bought a Thermador PRSE48" dual fuel range from Craigslist really cheap because it didn't work. Did a little research and decided to overhaul most of the top (gas) end. For what I paid for it it was worth it and I'd have a good stove with new components. Replaced the griddle thermostat, ignition micro switches, ignition re-igniter box, installed fixing kit with 2 new potentiometers, both solenoids, and gas regulator. Had to replace 2 gas lines, all 4 jets, and one brass nut that were...

The left front gas burner of our cooktop would't ignite inspite of normal ignition/sparking at all four burners William W. • Madison , WI • January 16, 2016
I ordered a replacement gas solenoid valve, which arrived the very next day with only standard shipping! The shipped part was exactly what was needed, and I also ordered 4 replacement O-rings to replace the original dried out ring for each burner base. These parts also arrived within a few days and were the exact parts needed. The service and advice received was commendable.
Thanks for the great job.

1 burner not working 1 would not "simmer" Thomas W. • Santa Rosa , CA • July 03, 2017
Replaced potentiometers, simmer control unit, and 2 solenoids. Could have been a fairly easy project, except 1 of the venturi's had "seized" preventing even the removal of the range top. After attempting to use an "easy out", which failed, I had to drill out the brass venturi, destroying it, and the jet assembly below. Once the range top was removed, the rest of the repair went well. Took photo's of all the wiring connections to ensure I put it back together correctly. All burners are back...

A locknut that secures threaded shafts and fasteners in appliances to resist loosening from vibration and maintain stable component alignment. Replacing a damaged or stripped locknut restores a secure fastening and reduces rattling or movement. What it does:
- Keeps nuts and components locked on threaded shafts to prevent backing off under vibration.
- Commonly used where a retained fastener is required on motors, pumps, or moving assemblies.
- Replace if you notice loose parts, persistent rattling, or visible thread damage.
- Restores proper fastening to help prevent premature wear or component misalignment.
What's included: One locknut. Install notes:
- Disconnect power (and water/gas if applicable) before servicing the appliance.
- Use the correct size socket or wrench and hold the mating component to avoid over-torquing.
- Inspect mating threads and replace any damaged hardware to ensure a secure fit.
