This screw is a genuine General Electric part, sold individually. This screw can be used as a replacement part for a refrigerator. A screw can suffer damage in the lifespan of a refrigerator. It can also be easily lost or misplaced. Screws are small parts and are usually installed in multiples to ensure components are reliably attached, so one screw loosening or going missing might not necessarily affect the operability of the refrigerator. When diagnosing the problem, I discovered that the ice door was not properly sealing and that the solenoid had appeared to rust/corrode forcing the door open. I replaced most of the ice dispenser internals (solenoid, crank, door, and spring) following the video. The door will now open when dispensing ice (which it does!), and will oddly stay open for a few seconds once I am finished, but does seal properly and the chute/container no longer frosts over. The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting. Since fridge was 17 years old I decided to order the entire evaporator fan assembly as shown in the parts diagram including fan blade, motor brackets, motor, motor mounts, screws, etc. Getting to the assembly involved removing the ice maker unit plus the entire rear inside of the freezer section. I found several other parts that needed to be replaced as well. Once All the parts were received, I again watched the video.
