Looked up parts based on fridge model number, watched videos, and replaced parts using just a few tools... easy. Parts came quick, well packaged. After 16 years, plastic parts deteriorate and break. The fridge was operating fine, but the drawers and covers were failing. Much cheaper to replace a few parts ($$-$$$) than buy a new fridge ($$$$). The new parts matched up exactly to old ones. The videos were very helpful, but not perfect... for the Crisper Frame, there was a structural metal... Read more

Fix flashing display lights, ice dispenser issues, or ice door flapping. This main control board regulates refrigerator functions. DIY repair in 15-20 minutes.
First I googled my model number and found out others had this problem. I was quickly able to find out the cause of the problem. After calling maytag they informed me of a $85.00 appointment fee that didn't include parts or labor. I decided to repair it myself! I ordered the part from appliancepartspros.com and in 2 days the part was on my front porch! I turned to YouTube to watch the video once more on how to install the part. It took two tools and 15 -20 minutes and was very simple. My guess... Read more

This is a black door handle assembly designed for mounting on a refrigerator or freezer door. It provides a grip point for opening and closing the door and attaches with mounting hardware to the outer door panel. Replace this handle if it is cracked, broken, loose, or if the mounting points have become stripped or damaged.
I removed the old handle with a quick sideways pull. Which is almost impossible when people break the bracket retaining clip. Once the old was removed, I tightened the door attachment screws that are mounted on the door body. Then checked the new handles mounting hardware to insure they were not loose. Sled the handle over the door mounting screws, she clicked right into place. Describing this makes it seem longer than it is. But, I had this problem fixed in under 5 minutes. Read more
