I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. After doing some research I discovered this was not uncommon, and the fix usually involved replacing the hinges and/or the hinge receptacles. Replaced the igniter, Simple but there are several points to remember. TURN THE POWER OFF 1) remove the oven door or you will have a hard time reaching the back of the oven. Mine just lifted off. 2) The igniter tip is fragile put a drop cloth over the oven floor in case you drop it even after it is in its holder. 3) The drop cloth will catch screws too if you drop them so they won't fall into the oven. 4) The cable from the oven is very short even after pulling it out from the hole at the back.... Replaced ingniter. Unlike some of the repair videos I saw, I could do everything by removing the lower draw, and in fact access from the back of the stove was not an option on my Amana. Pulling the stove out and fussing around turned a likely ten minute job in to a twenty minute. Unit work great, now I just need to keep tabs on the broiler igniter, which may be on the way out as well. Read more

Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I had ordered extra screws as I read the old ones that hold the hinges were hard to get in as they were self taping but the screw labeled 5 next to the hinge were not the right ones. All old screws worked fine. You just need to put a little power to them to get them started. Easy repair. Read more

Turned off breaker,unscrewed (2 screws) element,pulled element out from back of oven,unplugged 2 wires, attached wires to new element, pushed back in, installed retaining screws Read more

Check the power cord connection to the stove and found burned cable due to loose connection. Replaced the terminal and the nuts and installed a new power cord. Read more
