I had to remove my dryer so I could install a new floor. The dryer would not fit through the doorway with the power cord attached. Since the power cord was fastened to the back using 3 phillip headed screws, I gently backed them out with a phillip headed screwdriver. However, two of the 3 screws gave me extreme trouble. I could not find anything online as to how to convert from LP to Natural Gas, but you could find several things as to how to convert from Natural to LP. I removed the kick panel/door and confirmed there was no flame. Inspection with a flashlight revealed the igniter was damage - partly broken away. Using a 1/4" socket set I removed the burner assembly. Inspection showed the burner was rusted and the flame deflector had fallen off. I ordered both the "Dryer Igniter and Bracket" and a burner. Every time I tried to start our dryer, the "Sensing Light" came on, I heard a little "click," and the dryer would not start. Well i thought i had to replace the whole metal casing, turns out the element is separate and that was all i would have needed. but i cot my original casing apart only to find out that was a mistake. anyway i got it all repaired now and its working like new. Read more
