Removed refrigerator panel, disconnected light and fan power. Removed fan assembly and replaced motor, grommets and fan attachment spring. Unit had adhesive on spring to help hold the spring. Chatted with customer service and clarified that spring and fan would easily pull off motor shaft. Adhesive probably was extra measure used during original build of the fridge. Noise was due to fan rubbing on housing. New fan position set to avoid any rubbing. Read more

Ordered the pieces from here. Downloaded the user manual. I never work on appliances but I couldn't justify the $200 a service tech would have charged to fix a $35 part. Followed the manual and removed the door. Replaced the broken plastic pieces. BE VERY CAREFUL not to strip the screws. I did and that's another story. Very easy to fix. Second, verified that water was flowing from supply valve by disconnecting line to automatic water valve and observing flow into a bucket. Plastic hinge assembly that secures refrigerator shelves to the interior wall. Replace if cracked, brittle, or broken to restore proper shelf support.
Ordered replacement clips. The replacements don't come with screws or the caps to cover the screws, so save all the hardware aside from the plastic hinges. You need to order the upper and lower halves of the hinges. Found water reservoir had frozen solid and had cracked (no idea yet why it froze). I had previously fixed a frozen drain from the cooler by wrapping 12 Ga bare copper wire around the heater element and routing into the drain hole and that was working and clear. So I ordered and replaced both water reservoir and water reservoir heater in case the heater was not working fully. Very Easy to fix by removing vegetable drawer and shelves. It looked pretty simple, so I got my 2 screw drivers and unplugged the refrigerator and started. The hardest part was removing the upper and lower hinges.
