The lint filter cover is the trim piece that frames and protects the lint trap opening on your dryer, keeping the filter securely in place during operation. It prevents lint from bypassing the filter and accumulating in the dryer's internal ductwork, which can create a fire hazard over time. Replace this part if it is cracked, broken off, or missing, which can cause lint buildup, reduced airflow, or longer drying times.

The dryer drum support roller allows smooth drum rotation during drying cycles. Located at the rear of the drum assembly, replacement is necessary when the dryer makes squealing noises, the drum doesn't turn properly, or clothes don't dry evenly.
It wound up as the thermistor switch that is located in the out vent duct along with an over temp switch. As long as it was apart I replaced the drum belt which made for extra work but it saves another down time later. If a person goes by the Samsung manual you will take a lot more off than needed. I took the entire dryer apart with assistance from well documented youtube videos. However, there were no videos for entire wiring harness replacement on YouTube so I took pictures of every part of the wiring harness and where each attachment went. The harness fit perfectly and all connections aligned perfectly with the pictures I took to repair the dryer. The wiring harness was top quality and even better than the OEM version. Due to manufacturer changes, the idler assembly is no longer included. If needed use part number DC93-00634A. For the motor bracket only use part number DC61-01213A.
Installed new motor and fan assembly an drum belt. I had to lengthen the wire for the heat sensors because the location was different on the new unit. Read more
At first I thought it was the dryer belt. The drum would spin freely with no resistance. I went to Youtube to find a instructional video on how to change the belt. After a few short steps on had access to the dryer belt. To my dismay it wasn't the belt at all. I realized after doing a quick inspection that the idler wheel used to put tension on the belt had broken and was causing the issues.
