Here's what the problem was: Started the 'Normal' cycle... I closed the door... it calls for water, water fills, ECS sensor doesn't kick it to the next segment of the cycle (wash), so the water over-fills and reaches the over-fill sensor. So many other are replacing the plastic 'case-brake,' main board, and the ECS sensor. Research indicated that it may be a moisture sensor failure or a leak. It ended up being a leak from the oil seal on the motor shaft. A small piece of plastic made it's way into the system. The hot water softened it enough that it wrapped around the motor shaft, re-hardened, then tore into the shaft seal. I fixed it by replacing the shaft seal, moisture sensor (corrodes when it gets wet), and replaced the sump seal since I had it disassembled. Read more

With the door front off, during the drying cycle you could see drops of water ennng down the exhaust, dripping on the floor. The design allows for some water but not the amount we were seeing. Replacing the complete assembly fixed the problem. I took apart the old vent assembly and found it slightly warped and the cool air fan which pulls air into the vent assembly had significant dust, dirt and cat hair. The model number on the dishwasher did not have a -0000 or -0001 on the end of the model number so I bought the part for both models. Removing the door panel was easy -- remove 6 Torx screws, and the panel falls off. Next you need to remove an electrical plug and 2 individual wires from the old dispenser. The plug came right off, but the wires were not easy to access, and they fought me more than I expected. With some pliers and wiggling, they eventually let go and came free.
