• Not dispensing water

Fix was very easy, I ordered a replacement dual water inlet valve from appliance parts pros .com and waited just a few days for order to be received. After I received the order, I got my tools out and pulled the refrigerator out from the wall. Unplugged the power cord form the wall, turned off the water at the valve in the wall, grabbed my nut driver and removed the cardboard backing on the lower side of the back. I took the new seal out of it's packaging and used a blowdryer on low heat to soften up the seal so that the crease from shipping (it was folded to ship) disappeared. Next I took the refrigerator door off, removed the old seal, & cleaned the area where the new seal would be applied. Following the video on the Appliance Pro Parts website, I re-installed the new seal and put the door back on. Last step was to snap on the new hinge cap I ordered. Replaced Case Water Filter assembly DA81-05883A. Please read my post entirely before starting. I completed all the tasks that I could without having to disconnect the refrigerator since it was full of food. First I removed the panel on top of the refrigerator that covers the water line that feeds the dispenser. Do not disconnect any electrical connections or the water line at this time. I searched the web for a replacement drawer to no avail. Once I reached this site I was pretty discouraged when your site also said my drawer was no longer available. A suggestion for a different replacement drawer that MAY work was my only option. I purchased the drawer with the understanding that it could be returned if it didn't fit. After watching installation videos on each felt I could pull it off and ordered and received replacement water reservoir and water dispenser tube assembly. Reservoir installation went off without a hitch outside of the added step of the need to remove the entire main in waterline assy in order to access the connectors which also were not as represented in video, in that they were not the press-to-release type but standard threaded compression types. This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more

• Leaking

I have a Whirlpool Side-by-side Model ED22PWXBW01. A year ago, the ice cubes started freezing together in the rear of the ice bin for no apparent reason. Although the problem started off small, it gradually grew much worse, and finally I could see water dripping out of the ice mold and into the bin during the fill cycle. I noticed Ice maker Quit for the third time in 15 years so I decided to buy another Ice maker, I installed it and NO ice still?? Well I went after the other problem thinking if it does not get cold enough maybe ice maker won’t work. I ordered Defrost Switch, Heater and Evaporator Fan just to be safe. My Whirlpool fridge is 12 yrs old. The crisper drawer supports finally gave up. I googled the make and model number for repair parts and AppliancePartsPros.com came up. I was actually surprised that I found the support peg and stud. I watched the video on their site on how to replace them, saw that it was easy and ordered the parts that afternoon. • Ice maker won't dispense ice

I first thought it was the auger in the ice container so I changed it and it was not the problem. I then talked to ApplianceParts customer service that it might be the yoke on the motor that turned the auger or even the motor itself even though it worked. I ordered the parts, the yoke was supposed to be able to be changed by itself but mind would not come off the motor shaft so I had to cut it off just to remove it from the unit so I had to change the motor anyway because of this. Although the solenoid I purchased did not fix the problem, nor the "mother electronic board", or the motor, my experience with Appliance Parts Pros has been excellent.
