Mounting screw for refrigerator ice maker assembly. Secures components to maintain structural integrity. Replace if lost, stripped, or corroded.
Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a two person job - one to remove the top hinge and replace the handle, while a second person holds the refrigerator door in place. Replacing the handle was easy. The most irritating part was figuring out what parts to order. The drawing of the refrigerator door (Drawing # 4) used to figure out what parts to order was not clear. I paid $8... Read more

Seals refrigerator door to prevent warm air entry and maintain temperature. Replace if cracked, torn, or doors won't close tightly. Verify fit by model.
I took the new seal out of it's packaging and used a blowdryer on low heat to soften up the seal so that the crease from shipping (it was folded to ship) disappeared. Next I took the refrigerator door off, removed the old seal, & cleaned the area where the new seal would be applied. Following the video on the Appliance Pro Parts website, I re-installed the new seal and put the door back on. Last step was to snap on the new hinge cap I ordered. The video online was easy to follow and this... Read more

Replaced Case Water Filter assembly DA81-05883A. Please read my post entirely before starting. I completed all the tasks that I could without having to disconnect the refrigerator since it was full of food. First I removed the panel on top of the refrigerator that covers the water line that feeds the dispenser. Do not disconnect any electrical connections or the water line at this time. Remove the panel from the back bottom of the refrigerator that covers the compressor and water valve,... Read more
Clear plastic snack pan drawer for refrigerator storage compartment. Replace if cracked, scratched, clouded, or broken. Slides into existing tracks.
I searched the web for a replacement drawer to no avail. Once I reached this site I was pretty discouraged when your site also said my drawer was no longer available. A suggestion for a different replacement drawer that MAY work was my only option. I purchased the drawer with the understanding that it could be returned if it didn't fit. To my surprise it came in two days and fit perfectly. I am thrilled every time I open the fridge. I am VERY pleased with this purchase and would... Read more
Replacement cap that seals the water filter housing and attaches to filter cartridges. Needed when cap is cracked, broken, or missing notches prevent secure fit.
Replaced filter cap with new one. The minor challenge was to find a method of pulling the filter out of refrigerator (which is normally done by pulling on the filler cap. The filter was recessed to far into the refrigerator for me to be able attach the new cap. I had to find another tactic to remove the filter. The solution was to look at the replacement filter to notice where two slots were located at the end of the filter. I then used a paint can opener (found at most paint stores) to slip... Read more

Water leaking from bottom of fridge? Cracked evaporator drip tray lets defrost water escape. Moderate DIY repair, about 45-60 minutes with our guide.
The drain pan (Tray-Evaporator Pan) was cracked in 2 places. We had to remove the front panel. Loosen the bracket that holds the water filter. Take off the back panel and disconnect the bracket that holds the selenoid. It was not necessary to unhook the water lines, just the bracket. It was not easy to remove the old pan and get the new one in, but holding the water filter, with the bracket intact, as far to the left side of the refrigerator as possible gave us the room to get the pan in. ... Secures the handle end cap to the center of your refrigerator door. Replace if missing, stripped, or lost during handle repairs. 8-18 x 1/2 inch size.
This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more
Stores and chills water before dispensing. Replace if cracked, leaking, or causing slime/film buildup in dispensed water. Installs inside refrigerator.
After watching installation videos on each felt I could pull it off and ordered and received replacement water reservoir and water dispenser tube assembly. Reservoir installation went off without a hitch outside of the added step of the need to remove the entire main in waterline assy in order to access the connectors which also were not as represented in video, in that they were not the press-to-release type but standard threaded compression types. Water Dispenser tube/spout assembly was much... Read more
Replacement door bin for refrigerator door storage. Installs on the inside of the refrigerator door. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing.
Thanks to the testimony of others on the site, I knew exactly which parts to order. The triangular holder which keeps the ice storage container was cracked so I replaced it. I also ordered a new Auger Motor Drive Shaft which makes the curvy metal piece in the bin turn. Mine had worn down and would not turn the curvy metal piece anymore. Replacing these pieces worked like a charm. My kids were amazed that ice now comes out of the door after 2 months of having to reach inside. Read more
Fix an ice maker that stopped working or leaks water into the bin. This ice mold tray replacement takes about 10-20 minutes with our step-by-step video.
I have a Whirlpool Side-by-side Model ED22PWXBW01. A year ago, the ice cubes started freezing together in the rear of the ice bin for no apparent reason. Although the problem started off small, it gradually grew much worse, and finally I could see water dripping out of the ice mold and into the bin during the fill cycle. Re-levelling the refrig didn’t help, nor did adjusting the cube size / fill level. With guidance from the video, I removed the icemaker from the wall of the freezer. The... Read more
