Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Drain hose was leaking directly under the dishwasher. The drain hose was cracked where it was attached to the pump.   Walter S. • Appleton , WI • August 06, 2021

At first, all I wanted was the drain hose. I could not find a drain hose by itself, I needed to order a full air brake and drain hose kit. I thought I could use the drain hose and keep the air brake for the future. When the kit arrived, it looked nothing like the hose/brake assembly on the dishwasher. With the help of appliance parts pros staff, I discovered the hose/brake assembly was completely and profoundly re-designed; I needed to remove both old parts and install the new air brake and... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaky gasket on electrolux dish washer error 01   Donald Z. • Ivyland , PA • December 25, 2015

Replaced 3-sided gasket on washer & bottom gasket on door. 2.5 hours to do the former job. Most of this time spent cleaning old rubber & RTV glue out of groove. Followed instructions that came with new gasket. Wrapped edge of putty knife with 2 layers of electrical tape to avoid damaging gasket while pushing outside edge of gasket into groove. Latter job only took about 10 minutes. No glue involved. Had to spread groove ends a bit with screwdriver so that I could get the leading edge of the... Read more

Pump Assembly
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 5304483454

This replacement OEM part is a circulation pump motor assembly for dishwashers. The circulation pump motor distributes water to the spray arm to allow the dishwasher to properly do its job. Over time, the circulation pump motor can become overworked to the point of becoming inoperable. Luckily, replacing the pump motor is not as difficult a job as it might seem. To begin the repair, turn off the power supply and shut off the water supply valve. Remove the screws that secure the lower access panel. Disconnect the water supply line from the inlet valve. Then proceed to remove the mounting screws from the junction box cover. Take note of the wires' orientation. Remove the screws that hold the bracket. Disconnect the drain hose from the sink or garbage disposal. Open the dishwasher door and remove the mounting screws. Pull the dishwasher away from the cabinet and unsnap the covers from the hinge ropes. Disconnect the ropes. Remove the screws securing the upper door panel. Carefully tilt the dishwasher back and detach the fill hose from its retaining clip disconnecting the hose from the sump. Uninstall the circulation pump and align the pump with the seal and sump. Tighten the clamp and transfer the wires from the old pump to the new one. Proceed to reinstall the panels that were uninstalled. This genuine replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Frigidaire, Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Westinghouse brand dishwashers.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The internal water heater in my dishwasher wasn't working   Dave C. • Panton , VT • November 23, 2014

After ordering a new heater and before disassembling the dishwasher to determine that it was in fact defective I found it was ok. After downloading the repair manual I saw that either the control assembly or the control pad on the door had to be at fault. I ordered both units from you and replaced the control assembly first and found that to be the fix. My first clue to the no heat problem was seeing small amounts of white film on the clean plates. I then noted the fine screen filter was... Read more
